Hi all

Anyone that has changed the power steering fluid know the best place to drain the system from?

Doesn't seem to be any drain points?
Do you need to crack a pipe connection?

Cheers

I have never changed mine but there are lots of tips on the net in general. I think I would just take off the lowest pipe. As far as I know the system must be bled of air before the engine is started to avoid damage....someone else may know different.

I cant remember where I did mine, think it was on one of the lowest pipes, how ever you dont want to let it run dry as may jackson pollock the pump, I refilled mine, then drove around in large circles changing from lock to lock, you could jack front up for same effect, it bleeds the air out going from lock to lock. ps didnt see post earlier ,sorry. Hope the bus is going well.Joe

Hello ,
on my 3rd gen 35s12 I just loosen the lower nut going from the tank to the column.

Just a bit not all ...and I let it run from there slowly. when I saw the level in tank was low but not fully drained from the hose down, I was refilling a bit until all the old comes out.

The tighten the nut to the column and fill the tank.

I don't know and am not sure about the 2nd gen though.
