Hello!![]() Broke down with a rather big bang the other day as my rear prop shaft snapped at both ends! ive found the part number on the broken bit and vexi are quoting £1400 for a new one! Ive had a quick look on ebay for 2nd hand but not quite sure which one will fit. anyone able to advise on this. are the chassis cab shafts the same as the van body ones? i have a lwb 35.10 turbodaily. Heres a couple ive found, no idea if theyd fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IVECO-TURBO-DAILY-35-10-CHASSIS-CAB-1996-PROP-SHAFT-/262864891050?hash=item3d33f7ecaa:g:cPwAAOxyjxlTMu26 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IVECO-35-10-2-8-TD-CHASSIS-CAB-1999-TWO-PIECE-PROP-SHAFT/262864889638?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3De81da6e736da4346a008d3ba2769ee5a%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D262864891050 Also i need a new clutch, shall i just go with the premium one the garage recommend (£500 including fitting) or is there a cheaper kit i can buy for them to fit that wont break the bank, been told to steer clear of the cheap ones off ebay and im not confident enough to do the work myself Thanks in advance for any advice! |

Rotten bit of luck! Iveco prices are shocking, they really are, God knows where they derive them from! Just out of interest do you grease the UJ's (the ends of the prop shafts)? You could try zeppelin, but not sure if price will be much different, maybe try JS COMMERCIALS as well...............good luck |

£500 for a clutch fitted seems a good price as long as that is full kit inc VAT, How much is the labour? garages charge quite an hourly rate to cover overheads etc. A known brand from ebay should be fine. If the propshaft is the correct length it will fit. How long is yours? Ask the seller to measure for you. Graeme |
