Hi,

Thought I'd post up a fix on the electric door of our Iris bus converted van - fairly simple but maybe it'll help someone out in the future! There doesn't seem to be much information about these anywhere.

So the door had suddenly stopped working and was stuck half way open without moving on the electric motor. Opened it using the emergency handle inside so gain access to some of the electrics and motor/gearing at the bottom of the door.

Checked the relays were putting power through to the motor, all good. Took the motor out and found the commutator was grubby and possibly a brush was stuck and not making good contact. Used some very fine wet and dry to rub back the commutator and cleaned inside the motor also.

Reassambled but couldn't get the rearmost bolt in to support the motor, so ended up unbolting the complete mechanism off while supporting the door with a jack so gain access to it.

Took me just over an hour and it all works again.
