We have decided to sell our 1996 2.5 litre IVECO 59.12 Turbo Daily ( 6 ton). It has just been plated ( retested as it failed first time on a leaking brake pipe but no other issues). The vehicle has been converted to a quality horsebox ( original coachworks and fit by Olympic Coachbuilders). Whilst the horsebox is fully useable as is the lorry is obviously now quite old and spares becoming more difficult to find. We are now going to change to a 3.5 ton horsebox instead. The conversion consists of a fully aluminium structure bolted to the flat bed rails of the lorry and is not only high quality but also in very good condition. It could therefore be removed and rebuilt onto a younger lorry and fetch a premium price. The lorry could be converted to other uses or used for parts. As a going concern we are selling the horsebox for £5950 If any of this is of interest to you feel free to email me to discuss. ( mike.barnett329@btinternet.com) Meanwhile, thanks to those of you who have helped me with a few niggling problems with the lorry over the last few years. ps the most frustrating of those was an occasional failure to have any ignition, indeed anything when trying to start the lorry. That turned out in the end to be a faulty battery cut off switch! Frustrating because the switch tested absolutely fine with a meter every time I tested it.....except once!! I changed it only to experience the same problem with the new switch. I then bought an expensive heavy duty switch....Voila....a cure. Conclusion? Most of the battery cut off switches on the market are rubbish!! |
