i have a 2.8 turbo iveco bus based on 49.10. after a mishap with timing belt i have removed all necessary bits to renew it,can anyone tell me if there is a way off checking for bent valves without removing the head.....i have taken off the cam cover to look if i can see anything different but all cam followers look aligned when turning cam

You're going to have a head to rebuild and possibly a piston or 2 to replace, could be easier/cheaper/quicker to replace the engine.
