Hi everyone. I bet the subject of my post generated a big "agaaaain" ![]() I read a lot about what has been written about this subject but I remain confused and unable to synthesize a mainstream that applies to my case. So I come to ask for your help. What I have: . Jurassics Firestone Town & Country 7,5R16 (dont ask me... I already bought the car with these), mounted on the standard 16x5.5 rims What I want: . Versatile all terrain tires with reasonable performance on tarmac . I would like to be able to fit tubeless tires but I came to the conclusion that 16x6.5H TL rims are very expensive and hard to find. Iveco Portugal asked me for 604 euros for each one. Raphael (in the Iveco Daily 4x4 mailin-list) wrote that Gianetti 14444 cost 250€. Do you know here he get that price? And if I could buy 6.5" rims, I would probably put 7.5" tires, which would avoid bureaucracies for endorsement of the car's documents. And I also prefer not to have the impact on the transmission ratio with biger wheels. What I dont want: . Make changes to the car, because I dont have skills to do it and I dont have a mechanic in which I trust the job, certain that it will not affect the reliability of the car . Higher ground clearance (what I have seems to be enough and it would also change the already high gravity center I was surprised that the same Daily 4x4 rims did not exist in other cars and were so hard to find. I also sent a quote request to the Gianetti Ruote Customer Service but they (still) didnt ansewer. Do you know any other places where I can look for the 16x6.50H-16SDC TL rims? So, focusing on the almost unavoidable 16x5.5 rims: . I was thinking on Michelin XZL 7,5R16 tires but Bernhard Albicker's website says it is not a good option for the future. Using the German/English automatic translator, I think I understand that it is likely that Michelin stop making this tire. Do you agree? This tire exist in "tube" version? They look "tubeless"... . The alternative seems to be the 235/85R16 (which forces me to do alot of paper work and ask for approval) and only with Michelin XZL's. Other tires with same size, dont fit in 5,5 rims, nor on 6.5? . Also as an alternative: "Continental RT21 7,5R16 120L TT" and "Fulda Multitrac 7,5R16 122 / 120L TT", but I cannot find these tires. Do they still exist? Does anyone have experience with these tires? Are there other alternatives? . I disregarded alternatives 265/75R16 and 285/75R16 because they did not fit on 16x5.5 rims. All comments are welcome and they worth a "Super Bock" (or a "Sagres") when you come to Portugal ![]() |
