Hello we have a 35c12 on a 2005. The side loading door is unlocked on the key we cannot get the door open. When I put the key in the lock I can hear it locking and unlocking. But as I say I cant open the door.If I try to prise open the door from the inside do you think I may damage anything. When I last closed the door (before we set off on holiday) I looked on the ground and there was a piece of white plastic, circular in shape on the floor to the right of the door was this a coincidence or is that what has stopped us opening.I can book it into North East truck and Van at Carlisle on Thursday.Just a shame being on holiday and able to open the door to freeze to death.(still have sense of humour) Thank you for any helping words

Hello there I can't say if the plastic disc has anything to do with it I'm afraid, but I did have something similar happen to me recently. In my case the clip at the top rear corner of the SLD had managed to jump right in behind its locating peg and therefore jammed the door altogether. I tried to fix it, but in the end I modified it (with a hammer and chisel..!) so it could never happen again. I didn't like the idea of finding myself 'trapped' in the back of the van when I'm camping in case a quick exit is ever need - as fire spreads faster than you can ever imagine and it's better to fight it from a distance in my experience... This clip is attached to the handle release mechanism with a couple of plasic catches, so perhaps they could be the source of your mystery disc. Enjoy your holiday (- is that sun tan, or rust..?) Cheers
