Hi Guys,

Iam a newbie to the forums, can anyone help, i was driving my van the other day when the injector light started to flash and the engine died, and it has not restarted since. The AA towed me home and they could not help, my local truck and van center has said they cant help and the dealer at maidstone wants £300 just to come out to me.
When i now turn the ignition on the the injector light flashes and all the whilst the fan wont start.
It seems to turn over fine but will not fire up.

It is a 2004 35c12 2.3TD

I have tried to read the fault code with the diagnostic plug and a led and shorting out pins 3&4 for 2 sec's
but the led does not start blinking.

Any help would be greatly apreciated,

I just had load of hassle with my truck if you can just take it it the dealer.are you able to tow it there safely or get it recovered there they will find problem in no time.the problem with these vans is they seem to suffer from the same problems and it can be a number of components that are failing you could spend a load on it and it's not the problem just bite the bullet it will save a lot of headache i give you this advise from experience.

A simple check for the 2.3:

Copied from the 'Fix it Fast' post at the top of the forum:

(c) Van stalls shortly after starting, or stalls when the throttle is pressed. Restarting causes van to stall instantly. Bubbles visible in translucent fuel lines after engine stops. Solution: On 2.3l (and 3.0l?) engines, locate lift pump on chassis rail near fuel tank. For a few seconds after the ignition is turned on, and whilst the engine is running, the pump should be humming. If not, give the pump a sharp tap whilst the engine is being cranked or is running, if the pump starts working the engine should start, but the pump will need to be replaced. An easy job as the fuel lines are quick disconnect, but you'll get diesel all down your arms!
