| brake problem; sticking handbrake | |

my handbrake sticks on and it looks like it is the levers on the calipers as they don't move enough when i let the handbrake off but if i bang em off wiv a hammer then the brakes don't stick..until i use the handbrake again.. i have heard these calipers are not servicable and the only option is to buy new ones, is that true? my friend has the same van as me wiv the same problem. |

You can rock the levers back and forth and free them up with WD40, but it appears to be a short term fix. They can be repaired and we are just waiting for someone to post up a 'how to' guide, but most just replace them. |

yeah, that worked for a while but not any more so i have stopped using the handbrake completely.

did the same but got sick off it took apart and cleaned aswell . short term fix to . bit the bullet at mot changed the 4 calipers and 3 cables what a difference |
