Hello Babooser,
First you got to locate the wire going to the common rail which is now connected on your egnine.
You need to take out the engine cover, and put your hand at the end of the engine where is the common rail connection switch,

This is a clip type connection so be carefull not to brake it.
When you locate this connection, you will see that the powerbox has 2 connections coming out of it.

So 1 connection will be exactly the same as the one you took out from the engine (common rail)
you plug that to the common rail, and then your left with 2 connections
1 connection from powerbox and the 1 you took out from the engin,
Those 2 should connect together, so your done.

After that, open the powerbox and adjust the small jumper settings, by removing and installing it to your desired setting (personally i never passed 5-6) and am really happy with it for almost 2 years now,

After starting the engine, it will take approximately 20-30sec for it to initialise and thats it,

PS if you still can not figure it out, will take pics tomorrow

Regards
John

Thanks for that John.... your instructions are much easier to follow than those really confusing instructions from the manufacturer!
Maybe they should give you the job! ;)

Im Installing it today... Right now! Inside the powerbox there is another small module to connect up if the vehicle has & i quote in the pidgeon Italian from the instructions a " Antiparticolato Filter"? which im assuming means a "Anti particle filter"?
Does my vehicle have one of these filters? i dont know... John, Does yours have this?
Cheers Jim
Ive made a little Video for Youtube...
http://youtu.be/HV-pmjquG4c
& Ive just done a little "Run" with it on & all seems fine (Didnt Blow-up!)
Definately notice a difference in 3rd & 4th where it just Pulls & Pulls!... Ill give it a proper Run & better review over the next few days...

Hello Babooser,

Yes mine has that also, no need to connect it.
The extra small black is an extra jumber if you loose the one is installed.

Dont go more than 6-7 on settings...cos you might have problems.(blown turbo hose or clips...loose power)

I have it on 5-6 and am happy...having in mind is a full load camper...

Have fun with your toy, and take care.

Would love to be able to use a power chip, but mine is a 2.8 TDI with a rotary pump, so will have to play with fuel and boost manually, would like to look into the Hydrogen idea. as mine is the "baby" Daily as in smallest body kitted out as a "day van" semi camper i get 30 ish mpg round town so would be interested to see what gains in economy I could get with IHH.

Hello,
I saw your vid, and i have to say that you should not do those things with this kind of VAN

Did you consider the stress you apply to all parts / engine / body / etc ??

Did you realise that you mind bend over ???

if i was you i would not do that again..Unless you dont care about the Van condition.

Powerchip is good...but all things for improvement are good..it is up to the way we use them.

Take care, and try to avoid this behavour.

Hi John
Yes i considered those things... & from the mechanical aspect the stresses would eventually cause problems if i were to drive like this all the time... I too used to think that the probability of "Toppling Over" was going to be an issue... but strangely after having done this a few times ive found that the only thing that would cause this van to go over like that would be if i was to hit a curb with the rear wheel... (which obviously i have never done or will attempt...lol) The engine stress is relatively low as i am in 3rd gear before the wheels start spinning + the circuits im doing are relatively large too...
I wanted to get this "Spectacle" on video before i start on the interior build & the van becomes too heavy.
I think you missed out one aspect of the vid.... The fact that it was great fun! & sometimes its nice to have fun....
& also that getting a "PowerBox 2" will give your van "Hotrod" like power... :)
Anyway all thats out of my system now, so im going to return to my build & resume my place back with all the other "Sunday Drivers" :)

After much deliberation. I went down the route of chipping the van, so I bought one of these.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Diesel-Chip-Tuning-Box-Iveco-Daily-2-3-2-8-3-0-/171053231560 pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d3912dc8
The reasons were; 1. It was a UK supplier, 2. They didn't promise 200hp + 60 mpg, so they weren't promising the earth. 3. They offer a 28 day money back refund policy if you aren't happy.
So, I can report that the van runs really well now, more mid-range power (no. I haven't had a dyno read-out) but here in Exmoor we have some BIG hills, and hills that the van used to go up in 2nd comfortably, it now goes up in 3rd with no effort. Similarly, the long climbs that used to be a 3rd gear slog, are now a 4th gear cruise. So, I won't be taking advantage of the 28 day guarantee, as I am extremely happy with the £80 'investment'.
The only reservation is that the insurers want £60 to cover the van now, even though I explained that the box was primarily an economy device.
So, I would recommend anyone to try one of these 'magic boxes/snake oil devices' and I will be amazed if you are less than impressed.
For the record, my van is 9 years old and has 192,000 miles, but feels really lively and like it has done 50,000!!
