What grade oil is recommended for my 2002 35c11. Its done around 180,000mi (i dunno if thats the same engine form new or not - anyone know where to find the engine number so i can check?) It doesnt smoke or use any oil. Is it better a fully synthetic or semi?? |

Recommended is a mineral based truck oil, Shell Rimula R3X or similar is what an Iveco dealer sold me, they sold it in 5l bottles (but I think the daily needs over 5l) so I bought a 30L drum which was cheaper per litre, and good for three services. I couldn't find anything that matched the specs at Halfords or Motor Factors, because the engine is designed for truck/hgv oil. I'm sure there are thousands of Dailys running round fine on normal diesel oil though. |

180 k should be nicely run in. Ideally synthetic with a bypass filter and analysis but in the real world.... price/use/maintenance/longevity compromises bulk buy of whatever is usually cheaper/ litre and more available in commercial specs. |
