Hi,

Like on any differential: Instructions from repair manual, bearings (2 for bevel pinion and 2 for the differential), seals, and depending on what you see inside, bevel pinion and crown ring. Noise comes probably form these gears... And if the bearings are destroyed, the gears will be also rapidly abraded and causes noise that new bearings alone won't solve.

If the axle is full of mayonaise (mixture of oil and water), be prepared to replace the wheel bearings also... Check also the brakes... Would be stupid to rebuild everything and state in a month that brake disks need replacement... Unless you really like this.

Maybe you need special tools and adjuster rings of given thickness... Usually the local Iveco station has a box full of rings of any thickness... They are sold by packs and you only need one, so others are left and need probably patience and a micrometer until you find the one with the right thickness...

I've just rebuilt the differential of a 50C17, destroyed by water coming from a partly plugged vent, and pierced vent tube. Expensive parts and lot of work.

Cheers

Luc
