Hi, Anyone here in Oz sourced replacement tyres for a 2009 50C18 dual cab ? I will need to replace the fronts soon and was wondering what brands out there have this size ? So far choice seems to be limited and expensive. It's a pity the wheels are not 17 1/2" where there is plenty of choice at reasonable cost.

Hi there, I have the same vehicle - also in Auz. They have plough-disc 5" rims which limit what you can do, but I went to 205 75 16 tyres. They fit OK, and exceed the original load specs. Being bigger you can run a few pounds less and smooth out the ride. Also they go a little way toward correcting the speedo.

I have used a few brands that are reasonably priced including Weslake and Yokohama, but I believe the best of these was a Uniroyal Rainmax. They have got a solid tread for stones and they wear evenly. I can't wear a Michelin or Continental out as they usually sacrifice themselves on a rock, and the Yoky's are good , but a bit fast wearing.
I'm in my 8th year of driving Daily's and am still searching for a 6" or 6'5" rim for the front, but no luck yet.

Cheers, Frank.
