Hi, Possible the needle mechanism to be be half stiffened, so open the speedo and clean the mechanism with isopropyl alcohol. |

I've just taken my speedo apart & cleaned it. Let's hope that it has fixed it. Whilst taking it apart I googled Veglia Borletti speedometer. They were also used by Ferrari in the early '80s. They seem to suffer from a very similar problem, not reading above 55mph. |

Well, my speedo now works! It is now reading 3mph too high, but that's because I didn't put the needle back on in exactly the right place. Thanks Bazil-S for the suggestion. |
