Hi,

Possible the needle mechanism to be be half stiffened, so open the speedo and clean the mechanism with isopropyl alcohol.

I've just taken my speedo apart & cleaned it. Let's hope that it has fixed it.

Whilst taking it apart I googled Veglia Borletti speedometer. They were also used by Ferrari in the early '80s. They seem to suffer from a very similar problem, not reading above 55mph.

Well, my speedo now works! It is now reading 3mph too high, but that's because I didn't put the needle back on in exactly the right place.

Thanks Bazil-S for the suggestion.

Hi, I have a manual, six pages with dip switch settings for 8 switches.
I don't know how to do attachments here so send me your email and I'll send it to you. Its a 2MB pdf file.

If anyone has a 10 switch box available then I'd be most interested because with my large tyres and 8 DIP switches I can't it still under reads.
