Hi

If two other vehicles I tried are anything to go by, you may get performance improvement, but at the eventual expense
of a permanent MIL light. One of mine was an X3 diesel BMW Euro4 emission.
You may well better off cleaning out the EGR system after stripping down first and seeing if that improves things.
The X3 I did was absolutely full of carbon/crap, and was a lot more responsive after cleaning out. MIL light stayed out now for at least 6 months (which is probably a record for one of those!)

Having said that, I am looking at a manual .. which shows a (-)EGR and (+)EGR figures ..

Non-EGR is around 20bhp and 15Nm up on the ERG valve version.
Worst thing on the planet .. EGR valves!!

Well said. I'd love to know how burning extra fuel to enable us to recycle the crap can actually improve emissions?.
