Interesting, best bet go to a scrap yard with a tape measure and see if front wings & bonnet would swap over, you would have to do inner wings aswell, lot of work .....wouldnt it be easier to trade up?
I know the feeling though, perfectly used to the one you have ,good mechs. condition right ,bodywork on it exactly how you like it, etc and if you change no matter how good a newer one seems there are always unseen jobs need doing,I am tempted to go mk4 myself but as they say the devil you know!!

If you do a search someone has asked this before, new wings/bonnet/front doors etc are required, but apparently possible. Yet to see it done but I've seen Transits that have had been changed from a mk.6 to mk.7 front end.

Already checkt it out and will fit

Wings
Lights
Bumper
Slam
Bonet

Think the Airbox would need to be relocated but not checked that,

Hi,

The wings dose not fit entirely, the joint plan (line) with doors frame ( at the bottom curve of the windscreen), is different. The wings must be cut and folded.
4th gen line is: / 3rd gen line is: -
The headlights connectors are different type and they are not available as spare parts. Should be searched by the supplier code: Tyco Electronics???
Headlight wiring should be lengthened by almost 30 cmm. The projectors wiring must be added to the headlights. The signal lights cables from the wing, should be conected to the door mirrors (new connectors again). The bumper brackets must be replaced, the radiator air deflector is different, etc... So it is not a simple facelift!!!
