Trailer lights won't work!

Today I tried the rear trailer light socket, and it does not work which is rather inconvenient as I needed it tomorrow.
I have found this post http://ivecoforums.com/topic/8810453/1/ in the 4th gen forum which seems all but identical to the fitment on mine other than the ecu is mounted half way along the chassis underneath and I have taken note of the helpful comments

I do have a permanant charge feed and two earths (13pin socket) but nothing else.
So far I have checked all the conectors I can find and have taken the ecu out of it's box. Nothing obvious seems wrong and it all looks in good order

The fues box diagram is very difficult to work out, but it seems that the fuses are ok (until one blew when I plugged it in to the caravan)

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the 3rd gen version and if you managed to sort them
Many thanks

Hi,

In the technical download section you will find the fuse box diagram. Check the fuses: 26, 27, 28.

Thank you for that, It seems the fuses are ok

There is no feed to the ecu on pin B1 (a red wire) so I guess the next job is to follow the wire to wherever it goes. It's not at either end of the loom so it must change colour somewhere in the conduit. I can see why it's so over complicated, there must be 30 plus wires!

Just a quick update
This morning i pulled some wires out of the conduit and about 12" from the trailer ecu on the chassis towards the front there is a joint where one wire from the front becomes three
It had corroded badly underneath a heat shrink protector
This has been repaired and there is now voltage at the rear socket, though I have not yet connected the caravan to check it's ok, but it's definately a step forward
