Hi Every one i have an iveco daily 2006 35 c12 luton 2.3 hpi the speedo has stopped working first stopped then speedo showing slow speed reading the stopped again ecu light came on got home switched on again ecu light whent off speedo still not working.help please

There's a fuse for the speedo, when it blows you lose the speedo (and the tachograph ).Check that first. Then, check the wiring to the speed sensor on the gearbox. Depending on how it's routed, it's known to dangle onto the prop flange. |

The instrument clusters themselves are known to go wrong, about £150 for a new cluster. If you find a second hand cluster, check the plugs on the back - the earlier ones have 4 push in plugs, the later ones have 2 cantilever plugs (one blue one green IIRC). There is a wiring harness adapter available to convert a 4 plug loom to 2 plug cluster, but they don't show up in the parts catalogue and they're about £60. I can supply part number if required. |
