Hi
Joined about a week ago as i have now bought a 2004 35s12 2.3 mwb and would like to know if anyone can help, as the description says Limiter, is there one fitted or programmed into my van? as soon as i hit 72mph it cuts out. It will restart straight away with a turn of the key but it is very annoying when traveling on the motorway and if so how can i remove it?

Also i need a rear door top hinge, where would be the best place to get one?

Any help much appreciated.

Kenny

I have ajn ex-Parcel Force van which still has the limiter set to 70, but when it hits that speed it just looses acceleration, my thoughts would be, if it is cutting out, you have a fault?

Definitely faulty, but it could be the limiter that is causing it. Vantuner.co.uk can remove limiters by posting your ECU to him, but his website contact page has said he is on holiday for a while now.

If the engine does not cut out at the same revs its doing at 72 when you are going up through the gears it most probably faulty limiter.......does it go through rev range cleanly in all other gears?Paul

I have a 50 c14 with a limiter set at 56mph, and that is what it does, even downhill!

On mine it just feels as though the brakes have come on but the engine is still running fine but won't rev anymore. It kind of feels as though it's running out of fuel, which I guess it is as I presume the ecu cuts it
