Hi all Done a camper conversion on a lwb high high top I'm going on a weigh bridge tomorrow just out of intrest to see its weight So my question is what weight shouldn't I go over. Thanks |

The max weight will be on the plate under the bonner, its the second highest number (disregard the highest number) The first two digits of your model is the weight in tons, i.e. 35s12 is 3.5t, 50c15 would be approx 5.0t. |

Don't forget that you need to leave weight capacity for items you wish to take along such as food and clothing and of course passengers. Camper manufacturers normal work on Mass Running Order (MRO) which typically is the mass of the unladen vehicle including a 75kg allowance for the driver plus engine coolants and 90% of the fuel tank, water tank and gas capacity. Than taking the plated max weight Maximum Technical Permissable Laden Mass (MTPLM) you can work out your Max user payload. So if your MTPLM is 3500KG (plated max weight) and your MRO was say 3100KG this gives you 400KG for additional passengers, food clothing etc. Hope that helps. |
