this truck in our workshops and the flash codes appear to be 81 and our scanner says 2230 fuel pressure rail monitoring fault and will not delete also has fuel temp faul but yet we have replaced both switches.I got the codes cleared earlier and went on a test drive and suddenly EDC light no throttle and engine running very lumpy.I tried switching off and only 2-3 times but just the same then on last time there was a buzzing sound somewhere near the fuse box as I switched off and the same for a couple seconds as I switched on which then put the EDC light out and it drove back to the workshops perfectly.Anyone with any suggestions. Check that the correct plugs are fitted to the correct sensors as I had a very similar one in the workshop the other day and one lad replaced the high pressure pump and it ended up with similar Faust which turned out two of the plugs were fitted incorrectly |

On the common rail there is a pressure relief valve. Start up the engine and disconnect the diesel pipe. There shouldn't be any diesel coming form the valve if there is replace the valve. |
