Hi,
I'm new here.
I'm from The Netherlands
Recently bought a 1994 40.10 4x4.
It has some battery loading issues.
In the dash the battery lamp weakly lits.
So I want to remove the generator for inspection.
It's tricky to remove, because of the limited space.
I would like to know if the generator is also controlling any kind of vacuum pump?
Or is it just un wired and bolt of?
Thx!

Hi,
Yes indeed, it is a tight place to work, the alternator does not have a pump attached.

does the alternator from the later engine fit the older 2.8's? I notice it pulley protrudes in the same way. I think the stock one is 55 amp, the new one is 90. This one seems to have some sort of air cooling pipe attached, its probably not necessary

That's what I would like to know also!
Does somebody have a correct partnumber for the original gen?
Any ideas for upgrades?

Join the Iveco Daily 4x4 email list on yahoo groups - we have an alternative parts database and part numbers for an alternative alternator :-)

Additions to database always welcome though
