First of all a hi to all. I seem to have a problem with no interior lighting, which is a pain as I start work at around 4am. I checked the fuse which was listed as " Power supply to relay Ceiling lighting " a 10amp one.The fuse was blown so I replaced it early this morning with another, still no lights either in the cab or at the rear. I have checked the fuse again and it is still intact, can I assume that perhaps the relay itself has packed in? If this is the case could anybody tell me where I can find the suspect relay or perhaps a diagram of where to find it? Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit I forgot to mention this is on a Daily year 2009, the fuse box is behind the nearside speaker.

Hi,

That relay is inside the bodycomputer you do not have access to it. It is possible to be a short circuit on wires and the result is the bodycomputerul cut off the lamp power supply. As well may be faulty the bodycomputer.

Thanks Bazil for the reply. Ok now to add a bit more info as I did not want to confuse matters to start with. About a Month agao I added two seperate LED strip lights in the back of the van, it was these. As you can see they are 12volt 1.5 amp. One set was securely wired to the interior lamp by the back doors and the other to the lamp on the sliding door and they have been working faultlessly. Ok last week I had to take the van in to Ford commercials for them to plug into the black box, they had previously found a turbo problem and needed to know if it could be fixed under warrenty. They called me a few days later and said it could, Monday just gone they had it in to replace the turbo, it was then the following morning that I realised I had no interior lights. Could they have accidently done something to cause this or should I have upgraded the fuse for the lights, and not doing so created the problem myself? Thanks in advance again for any help.
Regards
Rich

Hi Jo, the one labeled for power relay ceiling lights is #38. If your fuse box is indeed the same as mine behind passenger speaker then it is the 3rd one up on the second row from left of fuse box. I disconnected the LED lights in the back this morning and replaced the fuse. I switched the interior cab lights on and they came on for about 3/4 seconds, then pop whent the fuse again. I have mine booked in to get it looked at tomorrow so if they find anything I will keep you posted Jo.

Update. Well after receiving Jo`s request I popped up to have another look at it this afternoon. I forgot that apart from the LED strip lights I installed, I had also replaced the two bulbs for the courtesy lights inside the back of the van with LED ones. I took both of them out and replaced the fuse again, this time the cab interior lights came on and stayed on. I then put the LED bulb back in the holder by the rear doors, it came on as well. I then fitted the other LED bulb into the light above the sliding door, everything went out. I then took that bulb out and replaced it with the old filament bulb, I replaced the fuse and hey presto all lights are working again. The LED bulb was blown and must have been creating a short on the system. I have also re-connected the LED strip lights and all is working fine.

All I can suggest is take all the bulbs out and replace fuse, and then try each bulb holder one at a time with just one bulb that might at least show if one of the light clusters is faulty. Post back here Jo if you get it sorted. What do you do for work Jo, myself I just deliver Fruit and Veg, but I at least get my five a day :D

Good to see you have it sorted!

But just be careful with installing anything LED, allot of vehicles are sensitive to these changes in the canbus system and don't like LED and various other things that you may wire in.

It could also illuminate warning lights etc on the dash even though you have no faults.
OR in some cases I read, warning lights etc didn't even work at all even though there was an issue with the vehicle.

Now I have an interior light problem lol

My lights work ok if I manually switch them to On/off position, however when set to go on/off when the doors open/close, nothing happens, they just stay off.

The lights in the rear work fine though.

Any ideas?
Problem all sorted now.

I was adding some ferrite to reduce EMI/RFI on my CB radio, so I unplugged the roof lights as my CB sits in the din slot on te roof.

Anyway when putting everything back, I plugged the roof light socket in the reverse way, which caused the lights not to pick up the door signal. So it's back in correct way and all working as normal.
