2004 eurocargo 120E28 . Battery warning light use to flash on and off and now it is stuck on.I have replaced the alternator as the iveco dealer said. He plugged in the computer which read the voltage was to high by .02V which triggers the code.Has anyone have this problem? |

it is common for the wire to brake on the multi plug on the back of the alterantor, normally within a foot of the alternator, is it charging ok |

If you take the 5 pin plug of the back of the alternator and remove the plastic cover. There should be 2 red wires and 1 green wire. The green wire is ignition. With a multi meter probe the green wire with the ignition on you should have 24volts. The red wire 7777 direct from battery you should have 24volts. The other red wire 7780 with the plug put back into the alternator you should get 24volts. If all does wires read 24 volts. The 7780 is broken behind the bumper. 7780 is power to take the battery light off the dash. Check it out and let me know how you get on. |

Thankyou Vector and DrRossi ,I found the break ,you are spoton with solving the problem.I can't believe the dealer tech said replace the alternator which was $800. thanks again |
