headlights; switch gone mad

past few days ive noticed my headlights flickering when going over bumps in road or me bumping the steering wheel.
ive come to the conclusion that its the stalk switch as when i turn the switch it comes back..
any decent electricians around NWlLondon area?

some times the stalk can cause that but mostly the lights ecu board between the two stalks go faulty and lights work an dont work

This happended to my 07 plate twice in As many years... Both times replacing stalk cured the problem!!

I remember having light/stalk issues on the MK3 and doing a bit of soldering to fix it.

Are the MK4 the same? Is this light ecu board something you can purchase separately or can be repaired?

I don't have any light issues at the moment, but thinking ahead it may be good to either have a backup ecu/stalks or do a health check on the light ecu.
