Only time they're not weight restricted is when there's no plate. All Iveco's I know of have a weight plate fitted. If it's got a plate, you've got to stick to those weights. Personally, I wouldn't want to take my chances with the VOSA. Unlike some traffic police where you might get a telling off, to VOSA everything is black and white. If you're within the rules they're happy, if you're outside of the rules they will prosecute, there's no leeway. For overloaded, they'll give you the choice of either removing some of the load to get uner the gross/axle weight (not so easy to do with a motorhome), or get the vehicle recovered. You won't be allowed on your way if overweight. |
