Just a quick question what size tyres should be on the rear of a 35c15 crewcab pickup? |

I have 195 75 on the rear at the moment but wondered if they are too small? The speedo seems to be several mph's out so clocking up the miles more than it should. Its doing 73mph on the satnav when the speedo reads 80mph. |

195/65 16 on mine all round.... speedo on newest '61 plate shows about 2mph over sat nav, my '07 plate is about 7mph over sat nav and my '06 is spot on... all mine have 195/65 16 and have had from new. mine are normal chassis cabs not crew cabs, but I wouldn't think that makes a difference!! what size wheel is on yours? |

Mine are on 16" wheels too. Our transit crewcabs all have 185 75 16 so I was thinking the iveco may have the wrong size tyres on. Maybe not. Its odd though, the wheels/tyres just look small inside the arches and yet the van looks so bulky. Maybe it is correct - just thought the speedo reading 7mph over what it should be was a little on the high side. Is it possible to buy slightly taller tyres, if so what size would only be say 10mm taller. I can't seem to find 195 80 16 for sale |

Hi Iron works The 185 or 195 is not the height of the tyre its the width its the 75 or the 80 but that not a measurement as in mm or inches its what they call the aspect ratio, and its a percentage, so ot would be 75% or 80% use this calculator to work out your sizes: http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator Radiotwo |

You say 195/75 on rear??? Are fronts different?... Also changing tyre size to make larger diameter will lift speed but it will effect acceleration as well... You are effectively changing the gearing. Not sure if this will effect you... May make a difference if you tow a trailer... Depends how much bigger you go? |

I rarely tow a trailer and with this truck have never done so as it doesn't have a tow bar, although going to fit one soon...If anyone has a second hand one they want to sell, please let me know ![]() Usually only carry gates/railings etc so the weight is under a ton, just what we transport is large but not really that heavy. I would like it to be geared up a little as it has plenty of grunt. Years ago I put over sized rear tyres on an old vw camper I had and it was great for cruising but not so good towing. But they were massive tyres with a small engine. In this case just having them 10 - 15mm high would make a reasonable difference I think. I would have to do the front tyre too.... |

Using the link that radiotwo gave your wheels have the same rolling radius as mine which is 219.57cm. I wonder why the speedo is so far out?
