hey people, ive just joined in the hope that somebody could help me out, i have a 2012 iveco daily 2.3td 136hp, over the christmas period somebody crawled underneath my van and removed my particulate filter and catalytic converter for me,
i didnt request this but nevertheless this has left the van immobile, i have heard that i can code the van to run without this DPF unit and run a straight thru decat pipe but i dont know where to start, would i have to buy a blanking kit for the DPF and could anybody recommend a good place to have it coded/remapped near cheshire/merseyside area.
also what negative effects would i be expecting if this was done (if any)
thanx

Why don't you claim from insurance for a new one? It's clearly been stolen, I would inform the police, get them out to do an inspection and give you a crime reference number, then speak to your insurance company.

I'd also inquire with your mot guys if your vehice would pass mot/Psv with no DPF, pretty sure it won't pass without a cat though. Well at least here in N.I it wouldn't.

If you decide to replace it you can get security kits that lock around the cat/filter.

Hi,

It is commendable that you can treat a trouble with humor. That filter is the part of the vehicle and has his role, please do not give up the DPF and join us who like to breathe clean air.
