rear lights; sidelights

hi i have a iveco daily 2007 3.0.im having sidelight problems they are not working at all,brake lights works when it wants,reverse lights works when it wants, no number plate lights

hi Andy,no nothing at all pal,iv put two new rear tail lights on,all the bulbs are good, front head lights go off some times i.e wen i flash some one or indicate.

yea the brake lights come on for a bit then go off. but the tail lights dont come on at all,checked the fuses and all that.

A common thing seems to be the trailer plug. Have you checked it for corrosion. My van doesn't / hasn't had a towbar, but the electrical connector is up under the rear of the van with the spare wheel. This can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins.

Hi,

The lights on these vehicles are controlled by an electronic unit called Bodycomputer. So the bulbs must be of a certain power, according to their mission. Meanwhile, the electronic unit monitor the bulbs functionning, in case of failure it will light a warning light in the dashboard.
If you are installing bulbs with another value, then the electronic unit will cut power to these bulbs, also will cut the power if there is a short circuit, or an open circuit to the wiring of these bulbs.
You can check if bulbs are properly installed in the lamp, the lamp connectors to be well fitted and as noted above the towing socket to be in good condition.

sweet, yes there is a light on the dash, iv fitted all new clusters on the rear,so what u recon i should do? nthanks for that pal

found out what it was,it was the loom what comes from the rear lights to the first socket under the truck,a few wires were snapped
