acc. pedal switch detected ???

hi everyone,

I'm having some problems with an Irisbus Mydis

could anybody tell me wt... is :

1. NOX SENSOR DRIFT FAILURE (DTC2A2) FMI : ABOVE MAX THRESHOLD , and how to repair this fault,

and the other mistery is:

2. ACCELERATOR PEDAL SWITCH DETECTED.... (and the accelerator pedal is dead, until I disconnect the connectors from the VCM), after I reconnect the connectors, the faults are errased, and everything works properly for some 40-80 km, and then the whole story begins from the beginning.
The acc pedal dies while driving, and the fault ACCELERATOR PEDAL SWITCH DETECTED apeares again, and it is immposible to erase the faults via EASY....???
thank's for the help if anybody has some idea....

Hi,

1-. NOx Sensor Drift failure (DTC 2A2 OBD P2201)

Reason of failure: NOx sensor inaccurate or defective, defect in wiring, urea injection valve or fuel injector jammed open, excessive urea deposits in exhaust system, strange behaviour of SCR catalyst, the last, but not least: urea with fuel contamination or mixing with water.

Possible failure correction: Check NOx sensor for correct functioning (dismount sensor -> NOx value should be 0ppm during driving), check wiring/connector of sensor, check fuel injectors (engine test), check urea dosing system for correct dosing amount (perform UDST and Dosing Valve Check, check DCU error memory for leakage failures), check SCR catalyst for correct functioning, check exhaust system for excessive urea deposits.


2-. An old case, on the Euro 3 vehicles, the accelerator cable (wires), could charge electrostatic from friction, the solution is to make a coil on a length of 5-10 cm, on the surface of the acc. protection wires tube, with has an end connected to the ground, a sort of shied.
Check static parameters with EASY. Check if you can accelerate with the cruise control lever, when pedal falls.
I changed a few VCM due to incorrectly signal from acc. pedal at, Trakker and Cargo. Therefore, it may be defective. DTC could be useful.

the DTC is:

ACCELERATOR PEDAL > ACCELERATOR PEDAL SWITCH DETECTED

- WORKING VALUES SWITCH EXCEEDING NORMAL RANGE [DTC: 0x3C] [FMI:0x8]

I have an euro 4-5 vehicle, and I checked the parameters, the voltage value changes from 343 mV to 34xy mV.
Acceleration with cruise contr. lever is possible.

the fault is now active, and another fault appeared to in the ABS:
CAN LINE

- TIMEOUT WITH THE EDC E.C.U. [DTC:27F-FMI:2]

- FAULT COUNTER: 1

(after I got bacvk the acc pedal the fault could be erased)

It was impossible to erase the fault, but after a half an hour the acc. pedal began to work. the fault on the other side remained in the VCM until I disconnected the black conn, from the VCM.
after I reconected the conn, some CAN faults appeared, but the fault I had before dissapeared totaly.
there was no trace of the fault, not even as inactive fault.
after that I erased the Can faults, and everything works correctly....
for NOW.
I've got a new acc pedal and changed it with the old one.
hope this will solve the problem, if not then i'll change the VCM....
Bazil if you got some other ideas wich could be helpful please let me know.
