Wondering if it is possible to turn off the feature whereby on opening a door, the window on that door opens an inch or so and then on closing the door the window then also closes. Also, is there any "side effect" of cancelling that automatic opening? My Iveco is a 50C18. ^o)

I think its designed to prevent air pressure building up when shutting the door. You may find you have to slam the door harder if its switched off.

I never noticed this feature on my van? I'm pretty sure mine don't drop or raise when opening/closing the doors.

They don't all have it depends on software version and make of window regulator , this system is often used on mimi buses and is used to aid the closing of the doors as previously mentioned

Most vans just have vents to prevent the air pressure spike...maybe Iveco deleted the vents in favour of cracking the windows slightly when the doors are open.

It prevents the 'pop up sunroof' effect you used to get on older cars when you slammed both doors at the same time :)

Yeh that's right , as mentioned previously aid the closure of the doors by releasing the cabin pressure but not on all models

Yep, we have (and hate) this feature too!
So wait, whats this about linking to Italy?!? I'm in Australia so knowing our local reps that will cost $$$$. :'(

It'll regularly screw up and you'll find the window will be stuck cracked open until you power on again and close it manually. That coupled with the fact we removed the cargo barrier when we started the motorhome build means its more trouble than its worth.
I would LOVE to get rid of it.

Just checked this today, The van doesnt have the feature anymore; didn't notice any issues with closing the doors either with windows fully up.

Should cost the same what ever country you are in the rss link uses a coin system with various levels of updates and programming costing different amount depending on the nature of the programming could be worth asking your local dealer for a quote. Whilst you are there see if they have any jobs going ! :)
