Hi I have an 1998 EuroCargo 80E18 which I thought about starting to service a bit. I think the engine is a Tector. The air compressor belts seems to slip at low RPMs, especially when the air pressure reaches 8+ bars on the dial indicator. I had the cab tilted today and inspected the belts. There seems to be quite a bit of play in both the V-belts that run the compressor. However I was unable to figure out how to tension up these belts. Is there any adjustment on the compressor or is there another accessory that adjust the belt tension? Also I noticed an air leak somewhere all the way in the front of the cab near a bunch of valves and connectors. It didn't seem to come from the main metal distributor, so I am assuming one of the many plastic hoses might have cracked. Any known places to start looking? Thanks for any feedback and tips. |
