Hi, first time poster, be gentle :)
The horn doesn't work. I have removed the terminals from the horn and attached a battery directly to it and it doesn't sound, although it does have a very high resistance of 1 meg ohm.

If I attach a volt meter to the two terminals and press the horn with the ignition on, there is no voltage showing.

I can hear the solenoid clicking on the panel under the steering wheel.

A bit of history: the lights started playing up and I found the terminals were burnt in the connectors to the pcb under the steering wheel so I bridged the bad connectors with soldered joints and bullet connectors so I could still removed the panel(Only 3 wires anyway).

The wipers play up if I don't make sure the connectors are fully pushed in when putting the panel back.

I know the horn itself is duff and I'll buy a new one but I need to know which solenoid is the horn, so a layout of the panel would really help.

Also, does the solenoid still operate if the fuse is not present as I know the previous owner was swopping fuses around when the lights were playing up, although I looked at the fuses and it is in place and good.

If I can trace the solenoid I should be able to trace the wiring through the connectors and hopefully find the fault.

The horn has a brown and blue wire but I couldn't find the equivalent colours on the steering wheel connectors, so I presume they pass though another connector somewhere.

Thank for any help.
