Hi, I just bought a G reg ford iveco cargo 0811, 6kcc 5speed box, and in mint condition for age, however the speed is restricted I beleve the gear box is lower speed, i.e at 3000 rpm max speed is 52mph, is it possible to get and fit a gearbox capable of 70mph? I did own c reg layland road runner 6kcc 5speed and that could do 73mph at 3000rpm, so i am thinking uprated gearbox for the ford, Thanks for any help |

Hi, The gearboxes, at that time, had the last speed gear ratio of 1 (so-called direct drive), even if they have 4 - 5 or 6 speed. To increase the vehicle speed you must change the gear ratio from the rear axle. |
