Hi , Asking for a friend with a 54 plate 2.3 , not sure what HP engine is.

Says that engine starts first time when cold , but hard to start when warm.

Any ideas please . Someone suggested crank sensor , if so , is it at the rear or front. Also possible cam sensor.

Regards
Mark

How do you mean hard to start?

Spins over slowly?
Spins over fast for ages then bursts into life?
Spins over fast and slowly coughs and splutters into life?

Thanks for your reply's. It turns over ok , but takes ages to start .
Will tell him to check the crank sensor first.
Cheers

Your sensor may be in the bell housing on the left as you look into the engine bay under the manifolds and a bit tucked away or on the right of the engine just behind the crank shaft pulley
