The van cranks and won't start. It only responds and starts on the turn of the key after I use the quick start spray where the air filter goes. It does not start if I don't use quick start. What could the problem be, what parts need changing or correcting? please advise guys as I think its only getting worse every time I drive it. |

I had the same thing. Turned out to be simply a weak battery. If you do need a new battery, get a "663 battery". Google it or ask any specialist supplier - they will know what you#re on about! A '663' has a spec of 110AH & 680CCA. If you want to know more about amp hours / cold cranking amps, again plenty of info on Google. Edited by choonup, Jun 20 2013, 07:56 AM.

Could be: Crank sensor, worn crank (see if you can lever the flywheel), leaking injector (disconnect 1 at a time and see if it fires up on 3), low pressure pump, blocked filter. |

My 2.8 wouldn't start 1 day, changing the fuel filter (as I knew it was overdue) sorted it |
