The signal wires on the brake wear sensors are notoriously thin, they break for fun.

Check the sensor in the brake fluid reservoir is ok (unplug the plug on the cap and link it out with a bit of wire).
Then do the same with all 4 sensors in the pads, unplug all 4 sensors and link them out, see if the warning light goes out. If it does, remove your link wires one at a time checking the light with each one removed.

Reason we do it this way is, it's common to have 2 broken wires. You link one out at a time and it doesn't put the light out, so it seems all 4 sensors are alright.

If doing the above doesn't put the light out/find the faulty corner, then it's time to start linking wires out at the ECU end. I'll find a pin-out with the terminal numbers and post it up.

We rip the brake warning wiring out of the loom altogether and replace it with 2 core.

Fixed my permanent brake warning light on problem tonight.
The pad sensor wires had already been cut and joined togeather so must be a break or two elsewhere.
I found the 8016 green wire in the large bundle of wires behind the fusebox and soldered an earth to it.
This still gives you the warning lamp with ignition on but it goes out after self test. Just need to make regular pad and brake fluid checks from now on.
