Could be a number of things. You sure it's smoke and not water vapour - possible head gasket - check your water level. Does the water hose feel hard when engine running/just turned off. Does it start straight away , or does it chug into life ? |

It isn't loosing any water and starts first time I think it's a breather problem as with oil cap off there isn't any smoke |

I'am not familiar with these engines , I assume they have a ECU on them. Since the problem has a sort of pattern , could be an electrical/ecu at fault. Sounds like a fuelling problem to me. Is there a EGR valve fitted to this engine , worth a try first. Just give it a good clean if there is one. |
