Hi,

Not all 2.3 L engines have EGR, in fact, there are few engines with EGR and Oxicat on this generation of Daily.
It is located behind the engine, between the exhaust manifold and the intake. Also, these engines has flowmeter, which is mounted on the hose that coming from the air filter to the turbo.

how old is the vehicle, is it euro 3 or 4, euro 3 doesnt have egr and euro 4 does, there is an egr valve at the rear of the cylinder head on the left as you look at the engine, the is a TVA (throttle control valve) on the right side of the engine and an egr air control valve down by the air filter housing on the left,
what is the fault and what are you checking for?

It's a 2007 that has been converted into a minicoach but it was a 56 plate gen 3 old headlights ect
It has just started to smoke when cold or if left ticking over it isn't using oil or water and is still doing the same miles per tank even after 500000km

It is the third generation. Originally built for people tranport, means that it is possible to have EGR.
The defect can be the worn nozzles of injectors, should not be confused with the injectors wich leak to return.

If the smoke is white to blue, then the cause may be the engine breather (blow-by filter), or the valve seals or turbo.

I ended with guesswork .... perhaps it is better for you to ask for assistance to a garage.
