Hi guys just recently bought an iveco daily 35s11 mwb 2000 model, it has 120000 an has a list of problems I need advice with. when the van has been running for a while, as I turn the engine off I can hear a bubbling noise possibly pressure returning into water filling tank? not to sure... temperature does creep a little but I am putting in a new thermostat see if this helps, I have looked in oil cap and there is no signs of water mixing with oil... any ideas? also I have the infamous prop knocking whilst changing gear and slowing down rapidly. I have noticed oil around the diff maybe from top up but not sure.. not leaks though? Would new bearing in the centre of prop and fresh oil in diff help? last one ha ha... fuel gauge... when van is started gauge is fine, then about 15 mins into your journey it slowly starts to fall until it hits empty, red light does not come on but it does not climb back up.. there is clearly enough fuel in than what it reads, very annoying having to guess your fuel for the day!! I have though maybe the fuel cap? would I be right in saying it has some sort of pressure valve in it? maybe faulty as it does not lock with key?? any answers would be appreciated guys Many thanks Luke |

have a look at your axle U bolts make sure they are gripping as the clunking maybe the diff kicking up when you change gear I had this problem, new bolts sorted it out fuel gauge I would get the sender unit checked this might shed some light on the temp going up below http://ivecoforums.com/topic/8873410/1/#new Edited by MAKES, Jul 9 2013, 09:53 PM.

I would say its a dogey sender unit for the fuel gauge. I had a universal push fit type fuel cap in for 2 years and i never had a problem. |

The temperature on these vans tends to get to almost the red mark before the fan cuts in, I wouldn't replace anything unless you have reason to believe its actually overheating. Clunking, if the U bolts are secure you might need to get the backlash (slack) within the diff adjusted. |

My gauge always sat at 60 , with max 70 when going up hill loaded in summer. Change the stat , still the same , so guess the sender is the problem. Haven't bothered to change it yet , all seems ok over the last 100,000 since the problem started ! |
