2001 Iveco 29l9, 2.8 diesel. No fuel reaching injectors. Engine turns over but wont fire, tried easy start but no joy. Where is fuel shutoff solenoid located ?. The pump on the side of the engine has cold start mechanism on top, if that's any help. There is a round, black, fuel sensor, also on top, but cant find where the solenoid is. Changed the pump in the tank, bled the system, got fuel to the pump, but none to the injectors. It was running fine one minute, but not the next. Help |

Hi, Daily 29L9, 2001 can be classic diesel, or it may be common rail. If is classic diesel then the stop solenoid is located behind the pump built into the Immobilizer casing. The Immobilizer housing is difficult to remove because it has security screws. This type of screws are designed to not be removed, the hex head is broken intentionally after tightening. Possibly it can be loosened with a chisel if you have enough space ... But you could first check if you use the right key for ignition! |

Thank you Bazil, I have 2 keys, 1 of which has the little plastic plug on the end which only seems to turn on and off the alarm system. What I have noticed now is that when I turn the ignition on to no 1 position and all the lights on the dash board go out, but the key code light flashes continuously. Could this be the immobiliser not recognizing the key code. Am I right in assuming I can take a wire from the ignition switch to the central wire on the plug at the back of immobiliser casing, thereby bypassing the immobiliser. The van is classic diesel. Thank you. |

Now im not a electrician, but ive just bought a tester with a clip on one end. a point on the other end and a fuse inbetween, Connected it to the immobiliser wire and switched on ignition, it lit up, so power is getting through. Tried the same thing at pump in tank, got a friend to switch on ignition, but gadget didn't light up, control box switched on and off as would excpect, but seems no power to pump, any suggestions. Thanks |

Key code should not flash. If it is classic diesel, then it has not a pump in the tank. You can not bypass Immobilizer, only if you remove the immo housing. |

Hi Bazil, in the process of removing immobiliser, then fitting a new solenoid, should I then jump a wire from the immobiliser live wire to the solenoid or from the ignition switch. There is no pump between the tank and primer pump. If the thing in the tank isn't a pump, then what is it? Thanks |

Hi, Inside the tank is the fuel level sensor, has two orange wires and a brown wire. Check the fuses again, especially No. 2 and 3. ![]()
