That's a lot of questions. If you look on SBMCC website you will find lots of advice links etc. well worth joining if you are doing a motorhome yourself. I'd suggest downloading the installation manuals from the web. RE the fuel inlet, you can T in from the main fuel lines, plenty of peopel do that satisfactorily though you might have a nagging doubt about it affecting the engine. I wanted to keep the Iveco parts as simple as possible, so I did a drop tube into the tank for my Eber. Leave 1/3 of your tank below the eber pipe so that you don't suck up the last bit of fuel. Regarding price. I only know about Ebers. The price varies a lot depending upon, not so much the condition, as whether it is sold as tested and fully working/ "It probably worked before it was removed / "Not working don't know why" £400/£200/£150 as a very rough guide. Teh ebers are complciated and have about 60 different fault codes. You need a 7-day timer to read the faults and reset the worst ones. |

I've had an Eber fitted to my camper (2003 35S13 LWB) for several years. I installed it with a separate feed from the diesel tank to the boiler (which is bolted to the RH chassis rail). The equipment works well. The hot water (50/50 anti-freeze) feeds a 4kW fan heater in the living quarters plus a calorifier for domestic hot water. Expansion tank is just above this. Like most campervan owners I'm always upgrading things. One that I'm not sure about is to connect the engine and Eber systems so that I can heat everything whilst driving. If I make tee connections into the van heater hoses, it's relatively simple to join the two systems. BUT what do I do with the expansion tanks? The Eber tank is higher than the engine tank. Any help would be appreciated. Alan L PS: Will the van water pump handle the extra flow required? Edited by Cloverdale, Aug 20 2016, 02:16 AM.
