Are wear sensor the same on the front and rear my van has the brake light indicator on on the dashboard,the reason I think its a sensor is now and again it goes out when I go over bumps and flickers which says bad connection to me my van is a 2004 35s12 unijet cheers |

Hi, Yes! the sensors are the same, also you can check the wires near the connectors. |

It's been pointed out on this forum before, these sensors (and the loom wiring for them) are vey thin and corrode easily. It is sometimes a nightmare finding the cause of the brake warning light! When we do rebuilds on our 65's, we strip the loom out and replace the brake wear sensor wiring with a much heavier 2 core cable - cures the problems at source. Also, we found that the sensors themselves are a common fitment, and are available from commercial motor factors in various lengths of straight and curled cable. Hope this helps. |
