| does anyone know the name of the small bar that connects to back of rear axle?; told its something to do with load sensing for brakes? | |

Whilst having rear axle replaced I noticed the small bar is missing that connects to reat axle garage said load leveller/load sensing bar Which senses the load to ensure brakes work correctly they said as mines missing the van will register as empty even when full,does anyone know the proper name for it so I can try and find one.appreciate any help with this. |

Yep give Vexi a call, I broke off the ball socket that connects the bar, they supplied the correct part. There should be bolt with a ball head and nut on both connecting points, if either is missing you will need to ask for it along with the bar itself.

Would this be a MOT failure in the UK? Mine is looking rather crusty and virtually no play in it at all, I'm worried if I tinker and try to free it up I'll break the bloody thing. |

Yep. Mine failed mot just last week on that exact thing 'load sensing device' It was seized up, now it's free, braking is far better, I can feel the van braking on all four wheels! Think failure sheet said 'dangerous' |
