How do I use the 'second ' fuel tank ? There's no electronic pump to transfer fuel as on some models (?) . There are two manual valves , do I need to fill both tanks , open the valves and the truck does the rest ?, when do I close the valves ?. I'm a bit confused ! Thanks |

Hi, Usually the electric pump is connected to reservoirs by flow diverters, both circuits: the flow circuit and the return. So the tanks are not directly connected, they are connected to the fuel circuit in turn, one after the other. Those "valves" must be both in the same position, to switch the first tank or the second one . |

Hello, I got 3 dfferent fuel tanks connected... I used Pollak valves for configuration... check it out at http://www.oilybits.com/bio-fuel-equipment/valves-all-types-/fuel-tank-selector/pollak-6-port-fuel-selector-valve/prod_328.html Rgds John |

Thanks guys I didn't fit the tanks myself, they are original equipment. The tanks aren't connected together directly , but as you say by diverting valves, so from your reply I see you operate them independently , front then the back tank, originally I thought the rear tank emptied into the front , now I realise they operate individually . I guess each tank gives a separate level reading when in use ?. The multi tank set up is great..... Mind you, I'm struggling with just two ! |

Each Tank is an individual Tank. The Pollak Vales..( the 6 port i send you ) works for 2 tanks.. It has 2 inputs ( 1 for each tank) has 2 return ports ( each input is directed to each return ) and it has a main feed in and main return on the other side. Very easy wiring..you install the switch inside the dash and you select the tank you would like.. I dont know about your original tanks...for level indication. I had to buy the seelevel II monitoring , so i can monitor the 3 fuel tanks..+ the fresh water tank + hot water tank and waste water tank. ( 2 x seelevel II ) check it out at http://www.bestconverter.com/709-4PH-SeeLevel-II-Tank-Monitor-System_p_185.html Rgds John |
