won't start / injector light

Hi, Iveco daily 50c13 crew cab tipper.

Yesterday ried to start but just keeps turning over and the red injector light comes on dashboard.

likely problem as sat on customers drive and need asap

If its a 2.3 or 3.0 engine, check the chassis fuel pump is operating for 10 seconds or so after turning on the ignition. (inside chassis rail opposite the tank) If there is no hum (you can normally hear it with the window open when its working) give it a sharp tap with a spanner to wake it up. If its started sticking you will need a new one...easy to change and they are known to fail.

An underrated/old battery can also cause starting problems. Check the fix it fast thread in this section also.

its the 2.8 engine and battery is fine.

Has your van got the EDC button below/underneath the fusebox (panel in front of passengers knee's? If so, look in the Documentation threads, there are two links for blink codes. (Error codes)

It will probably bring up historic faults as well as current faults but might give you or your mechanic some pointers.
