Hi, I'm new to the forum and have not long ago (April 2015) bought my first Iveco van. She'd only done around 80000 miles when I got her and had been used by a councils plumbing team it seems. Not in bad nick few bruises here and there, but only to be expected for a working van. Didn't know a great deal about Iveco's but I am pleased with my purchase so far, although it's early days yet. So far, have fitted 4 new tyres from National (Barum Vanis 2) and she seems to ride well enough on them, it will be interesting to see how they do mileage wise. The other thing I have just fitted is a new battery as the other one wasn't up to much. Found a load of batteries for sale on the Web but the strange thing was they were either to long to fit the battery tray or to short so the clamps wouldn't reach the terminals. The other odd thing was when I searched for a battery the searches were coming up with RH+ terminals, when it has a LH+ terminal that was required. Now I know what your thinking, "just put it in back to front." Anyway managed to find a battery that fitted nice and snug with a LH+ from Tayna. It's a Numax (664) 110 ah and 750 cca, which was delivered and I fitted it today. So once again I'll have to see how it lasts. They also have the same battery with a RH+ Numax (663) for those who need it. Brakes are squealing a bit and the clutch pedal is much to high, but from what I understand these are normal faults with this vehicle. Can anyone tell me how hard is it to replace the clip that holds the clutch pedal down? |

I fitted one of the Yuasa 'silver' batteries, HSB019 or HSB020? I had to modify the battery tray by cutting out some unused tabs as it was about 5mm too long...the Halfords book said it fitted but there were 'dimensional variances!' |

Hi Spooky_b329, Yeah it's daft isn't it, you would think the people selling these things would get it right. I found the Tayna Website very helpful for battery purchases and they deliver the following day if your orders in before 4:00 pm. For anyone that needs it here's the dimensions for the Numax battery I bought. Length 346 mm x Width 175 mm x Height 232 mm, LH+ terminal. And as I said it fits nice and snug in the battery tray, no alterations needed at all. Edited by popeye, Jul 13 2015, 10:11 PM.
