Hi i have recently obtained a 2001 2.8 unijet LWB DAILY i bought it as a smoker and when driven it conked out after a few mile ,since getting it home i have fitted a inline pump as i found lots of air in the fuel pipes and this had cured the smoking and it revs nice and clean .But when i drove it all tho it was smooth it lacked grunt .My question is and i hope you can help is the KSB on the side of the pump is frying my brains to how it works please correct me if im wrong but i think it works like this .1 on start up the wax inside stays hard and stops the throtle on the side of the pump from moving ?maybe to stop over fueling whilst cold 2 once the engine is warm i belive the wax becomes soft and allows the rod to move and so the throttle on the side of the pump can move freely to over fuel when you are climbing a hill or hard accelerating ? 3 if this is how it works then great ,i think mines knackered as its not moving in and out but maybe a spring in place would do the job ? just strong enougth to put some tension on so it moves when needed but lets the pump pull it back when throttling off pls help is needed as this van has got a very long journey to do
