Hello, The clutch pedal on my Iveco Daily 35S 12 has risen to an uncomfortably high level. From what I understand this is caused by air in the system. There isn't anyway in which I can bleed the system because the master and slave cylinders come as a one piece sealed set. Can anyone help with how I change this part, especially how I uncouple the clutch pedal from the master cylinder. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Cheers, Popeye |

Hi Popeye, are you sure it's air in the system? Quite often the push rod in the master cylinder breaks wich causes the clutch pedal to be pulled completly up by the spring. You should notice a greater leeway untill the pedal actually pushes on the piston. The complete system is very easy to replace. I payed approx. 100€ for an original spare here in germany. Regards, Chris |

Hi Chris, Thanks for the advice. Not sure if it's air in system or not, you could be right with your assessment. She's only done 81000 miles so I wouldn't think the parts ever been changed in the 10 years since registration. I've heard the part is easy to change and have been quoted £123.00 inclusive for it and delivered from cheapivecoparts. Which I thought wasn't that bad. The bit about dismantling I'm not sure about is the uncoupling of the clutch pedal for the removal of the master cylinder. Can you help with this please. Cheers, Popeye |

Hello Popeye, all you need to do is lever off the ball joint on the push rod from the clutch pedal. I had to take a look at it first because it's been over a year since I replaced it. ![]() If you send me your e-mail adress I can send you the section from the repair manual. But if I remember right you can also download the manual somewhere here in the forum. Regards Chris Edited by Iveco72461, Jul 31 2015, 09:23 PM.

Hi Chris, Have taken a look at the clutch pedal and can now see how it attaches thanks to your help. I'll let you know how I get on with the replacement when I've bought the part. Once again Many thanks, Popeye |
