Hello,

Engine can run without turbo..( very slow accelaration and no power ) but runs without damage.

You need to either close the upper and lower turbo oil feed and drain. or connect them together so oil will pass through.

Also you need to remove only the turbo chra ( catridge ) not the entire housing of the turbo, and adjust / fit a small iron plate on top of your housing as the chra will be out...there will be a hole in there..so exhaust will not blow from there.

John

P.S if you have a faulty turbo..dont go searching for the entire part.
Do a search for your turbo model CHRA...and change that..is like 150-180GBP and is like changing the whole part.
Easy job to do. ( did it in 4 different ivecos ) So far :)
